CLAIBORNE COUNTY, TENNESSEE Will Book, Volume 1

Will of JOSHUA HAMILTON, deceased June the 29th 1848. I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Elzira Hamilton, all my lands, until my oldest daughter Sarah Hamilton, becomes of age. And as fast as my other children come of age, Tilmon A. Hamilton, Joseph B. Hamilton, James W. Hamilton, William D. Hamilton, to be equally divided between the above said children.

I authorize my wife Elzira Hamilton, to sell all or as much of my perishable property as will pay my debts, and the remainder of my property to remain in her hands to raise her children.
