Elisha was born in 1820. His wife was Dolly Tubbs born in 1823. Their children were : Jeremiah Perry born 1845 who married a Delilah maiden name unknown; Sarah P. born in 1848; Martha D. born in 1849; Marion Bradbery born 1853 and married Elias Ann Hays (daughter of Asa); W. E. ( Wily E. ) ; J.G. Granville; and M. F. a son.

Elisha died during the Civil War, but it is not known if he fought. When Elisha died, Asa took Marion B., Wily , and Granville into his home before the 1870 census. December 23, 1872, Elisha's son Marion B. and Asa's daughter married in Decatur Co.
Note:According to other sources, Dolly was the daughter of Lemur and Sarah Tubbs. Jeremiah married Delila Ann Gabbard, Martha married John Box, an additional daughter, Mary Elizabeth married Joseph Thomas Evans, James Granville married Cordelia E. Pipkin, and Willie's middle name was Franklin. Elisha also raised Homer Cagle and Lilly Goodman. Elisha's sister Eliza Jane Hill took care of his daughters after his death.
