GILBERT McMILLIAN
Gilbert moved from Stewart County to Perry (Decatur) County in 1822. His wife, Sarah Nichols was the mother of 9 children of which 6 lived. One son, John, was sheriff and fought in the Civil War. He married Mary A. Hayes. John was the father of 4 children: Leora, Ella, William, and John G. John practised medicine in Decaturville until his death in 1933.
