We J.S. Quinn and John T. Hill have this day bargaiend and sold and do
hereby transfer and convey to Dutton Hill and his heirs forever for the
consideration of fifteen hundred dollars to us paid a tract of Land in
the State of Tennessee Decatur County & District No. 12 Containing by
estimation one hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less and
bounded as follows. Beginning at the South East corner of a survey in
the name of Dutton Hill thence west 190 poles to a Stake black oak &
sassafras pointers thence south 25 poles to a stake thence west with said
line 90 poles to a beech thence South 50 poles to a Stake thence West with
said line to a beech and dogwood pointers thence South 130 poles to the
S.W.C. of Entry No. 2233 for 111 acres in the name of John P. Hill thence
East with its meanders of Cub Creek to the Mouth of the Little Creek
thence up said Little Creek to the Mouth of the ditch thence with Said
ditch to the conditional line between J.S. Quinn and John T. Hill thence
East with the conditional line to the East Boundary line of an Entry in
the name of John P. Hill for 305 acres thence north with Said line to the
Beginning. To have and to hold the Same to the Said Dutton Hill his heirs
and assigns forever we do covenant with the Said Dutton Hill that we are
Lawfully Seized of Said land have a good right to convey it and that the
Same is unincumbered we do further covenant and bind our Selves our heirs
and Representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the Said
Land and every part thereof to the Said Dutton Hill his heirs and assigns
against the lawful claims of all persons whatever this February the
14th 1868

State of Tennessee} Personally appeared before me John McMillan clerk of
Decatur County } the county court J.S. Quinn and J.T. Hill the
bargainers with whom I am personally acquainted who acknowledged that they
executed the foregoing deed for the purposes therein contained on the day
it bears date given under my hand at office this 29th day of November 1875
