This indenture made and entered into this day the 6th of May 1872, B Rains of the county of Decatur and state of Tennessee of the one part and Abel Watson of the county and state above said of the other part. Witnesseth that far and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars to me in hand paid by said B Rains so this day bargain sell and convey unto the said Able Watson his heirs and executors and assigns forever a certain tract of parcel of land lying on the waters of the Arms Creek range section 9 civil district No 6 beginning on a black oak runs west 68 poles to a black oak hence North 160 poles to a stake hence west 68 poles to a black oak hence North 26 poles to a black oak hence East 73 poles to a stake past ??/ a sweet gum hence East 152 poles to Arms Creek running with said creek to a beach near a big spring on the bank of said creek hence South 15 degrees West 170 poles to a white oak and hickory pointers hence west 4 poles to the beginning containing by estimates 191 acres and 32 poles to have and to hold the said bargained promise from me and my heirs forever with all the ??? these unto belonging to the proper use of him the said Able Watson and do warrant and defend the forgoing bargained premises from all persons whatsoever in testimony where of I have here until set my hand and seal the and date above written attest.
