, 44, of Bath Springs died Thursday Dec. 25, 2008 at his home. He is survived by his father, Jerry Adams of Bath Springs; daughter, Tatum Adams and a son, Kirby Smith; a brother, Eddie Adams; 2 sisters, Paula Tuten and Patricia Choate
A memorial services was held Sunday Dec. 28, 2008 at Nebo Methodist Church in Bath Springs. Reeds Chapel of Decaturville was in charge.
![]() WILLIAM THOMAS ALEXANDER , 75, of Memphis, TN, formerly of Parsons, retired from Kimberly-Clark Corp., died Sunday at his home after a heart attack. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Parsons Mortuary with burial in Campground Cemetery. A World War II veteran, he had received a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Silver Star. Mr. Alexander, the husband of Laurinda Denison Alexander, also leaves a daughter, Leigh Ann Alexander, and a son, Terry Lynn Alexander, both of Memphis; two brothers, Leonard Alexander of Wildersville and Woodrow Blankenship of Memphis, and a grandson. - Services for Mrs. Dela B. Arrington were Friday June 4, at Parson Mortuary with the Rev. Jimmy burroughs officiating. Burial in Peace Chapel cemetery. Mrs. Arrington, 83, died Thursday, June 3, 1999 at Decatur County Hospital. She was a retired factory worker and the widow of Youel Arrington. She was a Methodist. She leaves a daughter Judy Kay Griggs of Parson and two grandchildren.

- Services for Albert Curt Austin were Sunday at Red Walnut Church of Christ with Clyde Yarbro and Tom Bunting officiating. Military services were held at the grave in Corinth Cemetery near Scotts Hill with Scotts Hill Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Austin, 80, died Thursday night at Decatur County Hospital after a long illness. He was a veteran of World War I. He was a retired farmer and gunsmith and a member of the Church of Christ. He leaves five sons, Ernest Austin of Holliday, Billy Austin of Wildersville, James M. Austin of Scotts Hill, Charles Austin of San Antonio, Tex., and Landon Austin of Chicago; eight daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Lambert, Mrs. Betty Bucynski and Mrs. Illa Faye Evans, all of Scotts Hill, Mrs. Kathleen McVey of Sardis, Mrs. Mary Alice Yarbro of Covington, Mrs. Coleen Wilbanks, Mrs. Julia Carr and Miss Irma Dean Austin, all of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Freddie Pratt, Blytheville, Ark., Mrs. Maude Mauldin, Chicago and Mrs. Addie Gant of Huntingdon; 33 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Austin, 68, died Tuesday morning at his home at Holladay. He was a retired Air Force serviceman and retired employee of Tennessee Valley Authority.
