GEORGE W. PARTIN - aged about 60 years, died last Monday in the Baptist Hospital in Memphis and his remains were carried to his home Tuesday. For 37 years we had known George Partin. He has all that time been a strong factor in the business life of the town of Parsons, or since that town was founded. We can say for him that he was full of enterprise and he was always a liberal newspaper advertiser, in fact, we have seen the time that a newspaper could hardly live in Decatur County and make a living without his patronage. Our relations with him were always pleasant and in his comparatively premature death we sympathize with his family and his community.
