- Services for Jettie Mae Raney, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Boyd Decaturville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Center Cemetery in Bath Springs. Mrs. Raney, a homemaker, died Monday at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis of heart failure. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clem England Raney. She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Johnnie Wyatt, Lexie White and Hollis Raney, all of Decaturville, and Paul Raney of Germantown; and two sisters, Hazel Smith of Memphis and Lexie Martin of East Peoria, Ill. - Joint services for Kate Taylor Dixon, 92, and her daughter, Virginia Dixon Raney, 66, will be at 2 p.m. today at Reed's Chapel. Burial will be in Decaturville Cemetery. Mrs. Dixon, retired, died Wednesday at Decatur County Manor of heart failure. Mrs. Raney, retired, died Wednesday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital of liver disease. - Services for Mrs. Rhodes age 89, were Tuesday August 19, 2008 in the chapel of Paffod Fuenral Home in Scotts Hill with Bro. Keith Kirk officiating. Burial followed in Scotts Hill Pentecostal Cemetery. Mrs. Rhodes died Sunday in Parsons, she was born 5 July 1919 in Scotts Hill to the late Sam O. and Lily Mae (Thompson) Rhodes. She was a retired secretary for Decaturville Sportswear and a lifetime member of Eastern Star, Parsons lodge. She was preced by three brothers, Ernest, Clyde and George, three sisters, Mildred Hayes, Ruby Lee Rhodes and Ruth Jerkins; one grandchild and one great grandchild. Survivors are her two daughters, Freda R. Wade and Ramona Thomas of Scotts Hill; two brothers, John S. of Monroe Mi and Bill of Lexington, three sisters, Mary Lois White, Martha Flowers and Carolyn Frazier of Monroe MI, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

- Services for Mrs. Hula Mae Rhodes were Sunday at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill with Rev. Millikin officiating. Burial was in Scotts Hill Pentecostal Cem. MRs. Rhodes, 58, died Friday at Mexington Methodist Hospital. She was a housewife and a Methodist. She leaves her hisband Bill of Scotts Hill; two sons, Danny and David of Scotts Hill; a daughter, Mrs. penny Rogers of Scotts Hill and a sister, Mrs. Lavalle Laster of Scotts Hill and 3 grandchildren.'

- Services for Mrs. Lona Mae Rhodes were Monday November 8, 1999 at Brewer Funeral Home Parsons with burial in Weems Cemetery, Linden. Mrs. Rhodes, 77, died Sunday November 7, 1999 at Decatur Hospital. She was a retired factory worker and the widow of Wm. Glen Rhodes. She leaves two daughters, Grace Swift and Deborah Lee both of Decaturville, a son, Gary of Linden, two sisters, Eva Rhodes of Parsons and Ruth Bunting of Richland IL, five grandchildren and a great grandchild.
![]() HOWARD WYLIE RIMMER
, 72, of Hornbeak, died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Wesley at Dyersburg Nursing Center.
He was a retired crane operator for General Motors, a U.S. Army veteran and and a Baptist.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Peace Chapel Cemetery in Scotts Hill.
The family will receive visitors at 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his former wife, Mary Katherine Rimmer of Ridgely; five sisters, Flynn Murphy of Memphis, Ivelee Huckabee of Lexington, Janet Brader of Little Rock, Ark., Jo Ethel VanVelvor and Ruby McBee, both of Michigan; a brother, K.D. Rimmer of Memphis; and several nieces and nephews including Deborah Marberry of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by a son, Howard Keith Rimmer; his parents, Lecter and Connie Rimmer; and two brothers, Cecil Rimmer and Gary Wade Rimmer.

- Funeral services for James Rushing will be Thursday, February 13, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. at Parsons Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in Southside Cemetery. Mr. Rushing, age 68, died Feb. 10, 2009 at Decaur County Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and James H. rushing; two brothers, Bobby Wayne Rushing and Billy Wayne Rushing; two sisters, Rebecca Ann Arnold and Carolyn Phillips. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Comer Rushing; Parsons; a son, Joe Keith Dixon; two sisters, Helen Adkins and Peggy Jean Sweatman both of Scotts Hill.
