Hannah B. Bivins, the mother of Marion Ernest Bivins and the son of William Bivins born 25 Aug 1874 in Decatur Co. who married a girl named Janie, also the son of Wilson Perry Bivins born Oct 1880 in Decatur County and married Ida (Conaway) Mayo 27 March 1910 in Decatur Co. To the right is the only photo we have of Hannah B., taken from a metal photo plate. Notes from Vicki indicate they yet have not found documentation concerning Hanah's husband.

We believe that it was either Wilson or William. Also, the only information we have on Hanna B. is that she was born in March of 1849. We have no information as to what her maiden name might have been. We do know that they had five children. Children were found on the June 6, 1900 Decatur County Census for District 11, Page 7, Lines 48-50 and Page 8, Line 1.

Marion's first wife was "Annie" Anna Conaway. They had five children together, four sons and a daughter. Only two of the sons survived, Coy and Edgar Bivins. Anna passed away in 1910.

Marion's second wife, "Lillie" Lillian Louetta Elizabeth Flatt and her family, also lived in the area. They had four children. She passed away on Sept 13, 1957. He was buried at Kelly Cemetery Liberty, Decatur County, TN next to Annie Marked with rock slabs. Married Anna Conaway 14 Feb 1903 Decatur County TN. She is died at Kelly Cemetery unmarked.

Edgar Jackson Bivins Born 1 Aug 1905 Bath Springs, Decatur County, TN. Died 2 Jun 1985 Dyersburg, Dyer County, TN. Buried at Arlington Heights Memory Gardens, Cook County, IL.

Edgar Jackson married Betty Magaline Plunk who was born 6 Feb 1916 in Tennessee.

Coy Bivins was born 13 October 1907 in Bath Springs, Decatur County, TN. He died 18 November 1980 in Jackson, Madison County, TN.

Coy married Stella Mae Mayo. They have one son, Paul Eual Bivins born 31 July 1928. Coy, Steven, Paul and Jimmie are all buried at Red House Cemetery in Decatur Co. TN.

Paul Eual Bivins married Jimmie Irene Moore. They have one son - David Bivins

Noy Bivins 13 Oct 1907 Bath Springs, Decatur County, TN. Died in infancy. Believed to be one of the infants buried with Marion and Anna at the Kelly Cemetery.

Second Wife of Marion Ernest was "Lillie" Lillian Louetta Elizabeth Flatt. They were married 17 Dec 1911 at Decatur County, TN. She was born 6 April 1890 Hardin County, TN. Died 13 September 1957 Savannah, Hardin County, TN. Buried Kelly Cemetery, Liberty, Decatur County, TN.

John Woodrow Bivins
John was born about 1914 in Bath Springs, Decatur County, TN and he died 7 December 1978 at Liberty, Decatur County, TN. John married Willie Dean Britton 14 Dec 1939 in Decatur Co. She was born 15 Apr 1923 and died 8 Oct 1980. Both are buried at Liberty Cemetery.

Some of the descendants are having a problem with his birthdate. His Headstone says he was born 1905. His Obituary says 1905, stating that he died in 1978 and was 73 years old. The Census of 1920 clearly says he was 5 years old so was born 1915. The 1910 Census clearly says John was not listed. I have to go with the 1915 birth year. Anna, the first wife of his father Marion died in 1910. Its my opinion that John is the son of Marion and Lillie Flatt - his 2nd wife.

Lonie Bivins was born 25 Sep 1915-16 and died 22 December 1995 at Sommerville, Fayette County, TN.

She was married to Ruben Ellis White on 2 September 1934. Reuben was born 26 February 1910 and died 12 January 1988.

Both Lonie and Reuben are buried at Sommerville, Fayette County, TN. They were the parents of 5 children.

Erles Thomas was married to Mary Lois Renfroe on 13 August 1945 in Corinth, Alcorn AL. Mary Lois was born 13 May 1925 in Dexter, Stoddard Co MO the daughter of William Lesley and Audie Gertrude (Howell) Renfroe.
