James Houston Chalk operated a blacksmith shop in Decaturville. He was born in 1867 the son of James H. Chalk (13 Mar 1831-18 August 1914) and Mary E. (11 August 1843-9 November 1922).
On December 15, 1898 James married Roxyanna Rushing. Both are buried in the Decaturville Cemetery 1967.
