John B. Fiser (Fizer)

c. 1806-1876

House, 22nd General Assembly, 1837-1839, representing Dyer and Obion counties, political affiliation not shown. Born c. 1806 in Tennessee, probably Robertson County, son of Michael Fiser. He was twice married, to Angeline Binkley and to Mrs. Penelope (Darden) McCalley, widow of George McCalley. Three children Josephine, M.G., and W.T. Fizer, by which wife not indicated. Went to Dyer County as a locator for land grants, entered merchantile business there. After legislative service he returned to Robertson County, but by 1860 he had removed to Mississippi, but again in Robertson County by 1870. Sometime magistrate of Dyer County, Lieutenant Colonel of 85th Regiment, Tennessee Militis, Died in Memphis, Shelby County in 1876
