Local History Bruce Johnson Chambers In the early twenties Bruce Chambers, in addition to operating his
store, managed the Macon baseball team for several years. It was one of the best
in Fayette county. He liked to work in the store and was very generous to those
in need. He loved horses and he had a wonderful disposition. He loved all people
and was always ready to forgive and forget. He was a loving husband and a
wonderful father. Mr Chambers and the members of his household were all members
of the Church of Christ.
