A resident of Lexington for the past 6 years is Ray Cole Chambers, Optometrist. Dr. Chambers is a native of Kentucky and was born at Emanuel, on April 18, 1921. He i sthe son of W.E. and Julia Chambers. On November 8, 1941 he married Eva Katherine Clark and they have two children, Karen, 4 and Ray Jr. 2.

Dr. Chambers attended Madisonville KY schools, Western State at Bowley Green and Southern College of Optometry, Memphis. He is a member of the First Baptist Church, the Rotary Club and various optometric associations. He served as president of the Rotary Club in 1949.
