WILLIAM ABNER and MEADIE C. (JORDON) LAWLER

Well known throughout the county are Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Lawler. Mrs. Lawler, the former Meadie C. Jordon is presently ill with a heart condition.

Mr. Lawler is a son of the late William T. and Sarah Elizabeth (McHaney) Lawler. He was born Feb. 10, 1880, at ???? and came to Lexington a month later.

Mr. Lawler is a registered pharmicist and retired May 1, 1942 after 42 years. He attended the old Lexington Academy and St. Louis College of Pharmacy. He is the originator and holds patents of the "Famour Big Ten" iron tonic which was sold in 17 states. In 1949 Mr. Lawler wona prize offered by the Press-Scimitar in Memphis for an article "Rediscover Your Home Town". He has written numerous articles for the Progress.

Mrs. Lawler is a daughter of the late Thomas Harrison and Sarah J. (Adams) Jordon and was boarn at Juno. Also a registered pharmacist, Mrs. Lawler retired May 1, 1942, after 24 years. She came to Lexington in April 1918.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawler were married May 15, 1915. They are members of the Church of Christ.
