Athlete: outstanding basketball player for LCS, LHS lettering all four years & two years AAU teams... at LHS, played on girls basketball team that went 26-7 on year and advanced to TN State Basketball Tournament in 1961, won first game against Dickson and lost second game to Loretto that went on to win the State Championship; team was first time ever a LHS girl's team to advanced to State Tournament; scored 713 points & averaged 21.6 points per game senior year; the '61 LHS girls basketball team also beat a Milan team in Regional Tournament that was number one state ranked, undefeated at 30-0 and had a 68 winning streak.. at Nashville, played AAU girls basketball one year at Nashville Business College team that played other AAU teams throughout the South... husband and wife tournament skeet shooters... Athletic Honors: at LHS for 1961, selected to All-Region Team, voted team MVP & Captain of Team; voted senior class Most Athletic Girl... Coaching: husband & wife 4-H Shooting Sports Coach at Shelbyville, TN...
