It appears to be the oldest cemetery in the area, probably dating to the 1820s.
Oldest readable death date is 1835. There are several dozen unmarked and fieldstone-marked graves here,
though fewer in 2003 than in 1991. Some of the cemetery area is be being reused.
Worst example is the Arnold-Cooley double marker which was erected in the oldest part of the cemetery in the 1990s.
The carved fieldstone marking the grave of Revolutionary War veteran William Lacy (d. 1836, Age 80) was removed to make room for it.
There seem to be few recent graves without markers.
David Donahue recorded this cemetery initially on February 11, 1991. It was updated May 2-3, 1992; April 17, 1995; April 4, 2001; October 15, 2003. Bobbie Pierce recorded this cemetery circa 1975.
