PEARL JANE TAYLOR

On July 6, 1986, Pearl Jane Taylor will celebrate her 100th birthday. The centerarian was born in Dunlap, Tenn., and her early years were spent in East Tennessee. She then moved to Lexington where she worked as a milliner. Mrs. Taylor made her home on Maple Street for many years.

On December 7, 1911, she was married to Robert L. Taylor, who preceded her in death in September 1957. To this union were born two daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Mrs. Joe B. Albright), Humboldt; and Margaret (Mrs. Jim W. Williams), Jackson. She has four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In Lexington, Mrs. Taylor was active in First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women until February 1974. Since that time, she has been a resident of NuCare Convalescent Center, Humboldt. Mrs. Taylor loves people and has a smile for everyone who visits her. She brightens the day for all who come in contact with her, leaving them with happiness in their heart.
