It was fired twice in honor of the Six Confederate dead who are buried here

**Don Buckingham** of Scotts Hill Tennessee Was the Lucky Winner of the beautifully framed print of "Nathan Bedford Forest" by Artist James Thomas Neumann Tickets to win the print were sold prior to, and the day of, the dedication ceremony. This rare and expensive print, valued at around $300.00, was donated by The Capt. Nathaniel A. Wesson Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
