Grandma Eason Celebrates Birthday (Melinda Catherine (Kennedy) Eason)
A good time was enjoyed by all present at the G. A. Eason home Sunday, when a host of relatives and friends met to help Grandma Eason celebrate her 69th birthday. We went first to Hobson to attend Sunday School and church, where we had the pleasure of listening to a good old-fashioned gospel message delivered by Bro. W. K. Smith of Paden, Okla., after the services were over we returned to Grandpa and Grandma’s home, where awaited us a big, long table spread with a most bountiful repast. Blessings were asked by Rev. Tom Townsend, and how we enjoyed eating the good things set before us. The afternoon was spent talking and “visiting” with each other and in taking pictures of the 52 guest present. We returned to our homes wishing Grandma many happy returns of the day and thanking her for the good times we had and the splendid dinner we enjoyed. Those present were: Bro. W. K. Smith of Paden, OK, Bro. & Sis. Tom Townsend, Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Johnson, Mr. & Mrs. Atlee Johnson and family, Mrs. Ella Lee, Mr. & Mrs. John Banta and family, Mr. & Mrs. Lewis Smith and family, Mrs. James Clenney and family, Mr. & Mrs. Russell Duck and family, Mr. & Mrs. Pete Young, Mrs. J.
