MYRACLE, Dennis - The body of Pvt. Dennis L. Myracle, whose next of kin is listed as Robert L. Myracle of Wildersville, is among the 5,864 American war dead returned from Europe aboard the Army transport Lawrence Victory. Those originally interred in military cemeteries in France have been returned. Pvt. Myracle was killed in the assault on the Normandy beaches in June 1944. The body will be shipped to the Memphis distribution center from which it will be returned to Henderson County.

SMALL, Carthel H. - The body of Cpl. Carthel H. Samll, son of Mrs. Darkus Small of Route 2 is being returned from overseas aboard the Army Transport Boyce, the Army announced this week. A total of 97 Tennesseans are being returned from Manila on the ship from cemeteries in New Guinea and the Phillipine Islands. (Burial at Hare Cemetery).

WILLIAMS, Hollis Brown, former Commander of the 3rd Brigade 30th Armored Div. and retired as State Maintenance Officer for Hqts.,, State Area Command in Nashville in 1975. He was a veteran of WW II and was in the Military for 36 years. He organized the National Guard unit in Lexington TN in 1947 which is presently Co. A 4 -1117th Inf. Battalion. He was born April 17, 1915 in Hickman Co. TN son of the late Leonard and Roxie Williams. He is survived by his wife Alene Petty Williams; one son Col. Jerry Brown Williams of Murfreesboro TN; four daughters Lynn Lewis, Tracye Kane, jane Hopper and Susan Scates of Lexington; two sisters Mrs. Pinkie Ammons and Miss Wilma Williams of Nashville; one brother John H. of Lexington; 11 granchildren and 3 gg grandchildren. Burial in Lexington Cemetery
