MARY ADELINE BRITT , daughter and only child of Otto F. Britt and Mrs. Blanche Britt, was born November 25th, 1919, and with the comparatively short life of less than four years, passed away March 30, 1923. Little Adeline had a spinal affliction and while she never walked a step in her life, her mind was wonderfully developed and she had grown into the hearts and lives of her parents. It is a fact of life that little Adeline had a premonition of her own death, for some four or five weeks before she died, she told that she was going to die, that she was going to her granny (Mrs. H. C. Britt), who had died some weeks before, and she requested that Brother Fleetwood Ball officiate at her funeral and even named the song she wanted sung at her funeral: "Tell Mother I'll Be There." In the taking away of their great and only treasure, Mr. and Mrs. Britt have the sympathy of our whole people. The remains were interred in Lexington Cemetery and Brother Ball officiated at the funeral.
