GEORGE CLIFFORD REEL
- Memorial services for George Reel Jr. will be March 19, 2009 at the Tennessee State Museum in Nshville. Mr. Reel died March 13, 2009 at Williamson Medical Center. He was a lifelong educator/historian and served as the Henderson County school superintendent. He was also a U.S. Marine veteran. He is survived by his parents, George Reel Sr. and Robert Jean Duncan Reel of Hendersonville TN, wife, Mary Sneed Reel of Jackson TN; sons Ben ofKnoxville; Matthew of Primm Springs and Lincoln of Jackson; sisters Lisa Connor of Hendersonville; and Lori Boyd of Greensboro NC. He was preceded by his sister, Sara Reel.

JOHN FRANKLIN RICHARDSON
- Services for John Franklin Richardson, 91, were conducted Thursday from Center Hill Baptist Church by Ellis Scott of Scotts Hill. Mr. Richardson, a native Henderson Countain, died shortly before midnight Tuesday at a Nashville hospital where he had been a patient since March. Born in the Center Hill community Mr. Richardson later lived near Bargerton and in recent years had made his home in Lexington. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Pallbearers were C.F. Goff, John Wilkinson, Terry Wright, Harrison Richardson, W.M. Goff and John Little. Burial was in Center Hill.

DON RICHTER
- Services for Don Richter will be March 4, 2009 at Reeds Chapel. The family chose cremation. Mr. Richter age 44, died March 2, 2009 in Lexington. He is survived by his mother, Pauline Hermaning; one sister Doreen Richter of Lexington and one brother Dan Richter of Lexington.
JERRY P. ROACH
- Services for Jerry Roach were Saturday at Grays Chapel Pentecostal Church. Burial followed in Plesaant Hill. Mr. Roach, age 58, died March 26, 2009 at Decatur Hospital. He was preceded by his father Jack Roach; two brothers, Travis and David Roach; two sisters, Brenda Faye and Charlotte Kay Roach. He is survived by his mother, Marie Roach, Decaturville; two brothers Bobby Roach, Parsons, Johnny Roach, Decaturville.
BETTIE JANE (BOYD) ROBINSON
- Funeral services for Bettie Jane Boyd Robinson will be today March 11, 2009 at Murphjy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.Mrs. Robinson, a retired beautician and factory worker, age 81, died Monday March 9, 2009 at Henderson County Hsp. She was preceded by her husband Lucian Robinson; a son, Bob Robinson and a sister, Martha Sue Fuller. Survivors include three daughters, Suzanne Buttrey, Martin TN, Renee Melton, Lexington TN and Janie Robinson Scott, Dyer TN, a sister Ruby Bragg, Martin TN and eleven grandchildren.
ROSA LEE HOLMES ROBY
- Services for Mrs. Rosa Lee Holmes Roby, 74, were conducted Saturday from Center Hill by J.H. Kennedy. Mrs. Roby died Friday at the home of her son, Roy Roby, Rev. husband, the late F.J. Roby, preceded heer in death 17 years ago. Mrs. Roby was a believer in the Baptist faith. In addition to her son, she leaves a great-grandson, Kennie Neil Loftin, a sister, Mrs. Dora Hefley. Burial was in Center Hill Cemetery with Lexington Funeral Home in charge.
JIMMY LEON ROGERS
- Services for Jimmy Rogers, were March 24, 2009 at Reeds Chapel with Bro. John D. Small and Bro. Rufus Chandler officiating. Burial will follow for the Judson Cemetery. Mr. Rogers, age 66, of Scotts Hill, dived Sunday march 22, 2009 at the Lexington Manor. He was a retired factory worker and Baptist minister and a member of the Judson Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Patricia Brewer Rogers; his mother, Virginia Rogers; three daughters Renee Fesmire of Lexington, Tricia Brasher of Reagan and Sara Rogers of Scotts Hill; a sons Timothy of Jackson; two sisters Wanda Pugh of Henderson and June Whitaker ofLexington; four brothers, Johnny of Scotts Hill, Tony of Lexington, Jeffrey andJonathon of Sardis and five grandchildren.
He was preceded by his father Edward Rogers.
I.A. RUSSELL
- I.A. Russell, one of the best known citizens of Henderson County, died at his home near Luray, April 22, 1939, and was buried at Nebo Cemetery. Mrs. Russell died many years ago and four children survive from that marriage; Mrs. Robert Winslow of Lexington, Mrs. W.N. Winslow of near Browns Church in Madison County, Finner of Cooter, Missouri, and Edward of Luray.
LAVAUGHN RUSSELL
- Services for Lavaughn Russell, 28, were conducted Thursday from Maple Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Jimmie Darnall of McKenzie and the Rev. Elmo Blakney. Mr. Russell died early Wednesday at the HBaptist Hospital, Memphis, after an illness of a month. He had been a patient at Jackson until Monday night when he was rushed to Memphis. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Russell. In addition to his parents, he leaves his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Alexander Russell, a sister, Mrs. Joe Kee of Huron; four brothers Utrey and Clyde of Huron, Ray of SPring Hill and Marvin Russell fo Beech Bluff. Burial was in Maple Springs Cem.
