- Funeral services for Mr. Carl Edward Williams, age 93, are scheduled for 5:00PM, Thursday, August 3, 2006 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Beecham officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Presbyterian Cemetery. Mr. Williams died late Tuesday at his home. He was born November 6, 1912 in Henderson County to the late Joseph Park and Maggie L. Horton Williams. He was a retired farmer and a member of Brown’s Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Lexie Beecham Williams and two grandchildren, Eddy Wells and Luke Williams. Survivors include his three sons, Carl (Henrietta) Williams, Jr., Roger Williams, and Carlton (Peggy) Williams all of Huron, three daughters, Jean Tignor and Bobbie (Jimmy) Wells of Luray and Janice Haskins of Beech Bluff, a brother, Earl Williams of Henderson, a sister, Gertie Sumler of Dyersburg, nine grandchildren, Mike and Tommy Tignor, Timothy Wells, Stevie, Marty, and Edward Williams, Jason Haskins, Jennifer Brittain, and Lisa Cashion, four step grandchildren, Karen Williams, Sharon Bunny, Brandon Huff, and Cristy Lawler, seventeen great grandchildren, Cody Tignor, Misty Nash, Amy Anderson, Taryn and Tatum Tignor, Brian, Blake, and Blair Wells, Nick Hunter, Brittney, Clayton, and Lucas Dale Williams, Daniel Lucas Cashion, Camden Haskins, Jayla Gateley, Jesslyn Gateley, and Jannah Brittain, four step grandchildren, Falon and Garrett Wood, and Hayley and Rebecca Lawler, and four great-great grandchildren, Colton and Hallie Nash and Halley and Hannah Wells. - Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Williams, age 95, were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 3 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home at Scotts Hill, with burial to follow in the Scotts Hill Methodist Cemetery. Mrs. Williams, the daughter of the late William J. and Maude Buck Snider, died late Saturday evening in Parsons. She was retired and Church of Christ in belief. She is survived by her two daughters: Brenda Warren Lewis (Dudley) of Carthage, MS, and Sandra Warren Bond (Jesse) of Maryville; a nephew who was considered a son, Bill Snider of Scotts Hill; three grandchildren: Larry Warren Little, David Lane Little and John Warren Crafton; five great grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a niece she considered her daughter, Rublelene Singleton, a brother Paul Snider, her sister, Ruby Rogers and her husbands F. D. Warren and Dewey Williams.

, of Lexington Tennessee died Sunday at his home after a long illness with cancer. He was the former Commander of the 3rd Brigade 30th ARmored Div. and retired as State Maintenance Officer for Hqts.,, State Area Command in Nashville in 1975. He was a veteran of WW II and was in the Military for 36 years. He organized the National Guard unit in Lexington TN in 1947 which is presently Co. A 4 -1117th Inf. Battalion. He was born April 17, 1915 in Hickman Co. TN son of the late Leonard and Roxie Williams. He is survived by his wife Alene Petty Williams; one son Col. , 84, were conducted Wednesday afternoon from Center Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. C.H. Kennedy. Mrs. Williams, the last of her family, died at her home near Reagan Tuesday afternoon. She had been in falling health for the past three years. Her daughter, Miss Lilly Williams, passed away Nov. 9, 1950 and Mrs. Williams was the last of her family She had been cared for by Mrs. Dorinda Climer. JOHN P. WILLIAMS
- aged 75 years and nine days, a retired minister of the W.E. Church, died Sunday night at his home in Lexington after several months of disability, and following a stroke of paralysis and is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. A.G. Hinton of Memphis and Mrs. Virgie Walls of Chicago. Mr. Williams had formerly lived here and made the concrete blocks of which the Southern Methodist church is constructed and that work, like all other done by him, was given his best, honest effort.

- Services for Johnny R. Williams, 59, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Reeds Chapel. Burial in Independence Cemetery. Mr. Williams, a Convenience Store Owner, died Sunday at Jackson General of Cancer.
He had served as President of the Jackson Men's Bowling Assoc. and also Vice-President of the State Bowling Assoc. He was recently elected to the Hall of Fame of the TN State Bowling Assoc. He had also served as Chief of H.C.V.F.O. Station 2 for 19 years.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Thompson Williams, one granddaughter, Tina Stephens of Cedar Grove, one grandson, Chris Stephens of Cedar Grove, three sisters, Dorothy Wilson of Huntingdon, Faye C. Cooper and Kathy Ford of Dyersburg, one brother Carlos of Huntingdon. He was preceded by a daughter Teresa Stephens in 1993.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Williams; a son Christopher Williams; a brother, Guyron Williams and 2 grandchildren, Grace and Noah Williams.
