Mrs. Nora had a hard way to go, trying to take care of all us kids but th egood people of Lexington and Henderson County were so good and helpful, said daughter Mary Elizabeth Butts. She remembers Mr. Will, Mrs. Myrtle and Pinkie Parker, who woul bring loads of material from their dry goods store so the children could have clothes made. Neighbors helped get the crops planted in the spring without charge. Mary Elizabeth and Willie are the only surviving children.
