A reunion of the Ephriam Austin family was held Sunday August 13, at Overton Park in Memphis.
Ephriam Austin was one of the early settlers of Henderson county, moving her from North Carolina, and settling at Scotts Hill.
Among those present were three of his surviving children:
A.F. (Alfred Frank) Austin of Memphis, Mrs. A.M. Powers of Henderson and R.E. (Robert Ephriam) Austin of Foss, OK.
Five other states were represented: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Austin and children, Brown,Lewis and Lenora, of Oklahoma and Kansas; Harrison of Mineral Wells TX; Mrs. Ed Davis, W.W. Woodward, Mrs. Sally Smith and children, Dorothea, James and Harrison , of Mineral Wells, Texas; Frank Austin and daughters, Mrs. Joe Anderson of Poteau, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Paul Boensch of Memphis; L.C. Austin and son Charles, Dr. and Mrs. W.T. Austin and family, Dee Austin, Mrs. J.C. Morehead and Robert of Memphis, Mr. and Mrs. R.G. Ross and children of Sunflower MS; Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Austin and daughter of Scotts Hill; Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Long, Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn Townsend and children, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Partin and sons, Jim and George, of Parsons.
