Family reunion held Sunday, the 24th of October 1982, at the Lexington High School, of the Moodys, Bartholomews, Overmans and Sykes to help celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Roy and Dula Moody.

THose present were Mrs. Moody's niece, Sue Hale Coleman of Jackson, Mr. Moody's brother, Vester and wife Edith of Huron, brother, Richard and wife Nellie, niece Kathleen Moody TenBrook, all of Yucca Valley CA, niece Dorothy Haggard Fisher of Clarksville, niece, Rena Haggard Owens of Reagan, niece Marie Haggard Young of Smithville, nephews, Bethal Haggard and Bobby of Nashville, newpew ELmer Lee Johnson of Jonesboro AR, niece Christine Moody of Memphis, niece Dona Moody McCain of Grand Prairie TX, nephew Rev. LaVaughn Moody of Lobelville, nephew WIllis A. Moody of Huron, niece Nancy Elizabeth Moody of Trenton, many great and great-great nieces and nephews. More than 150 cousins from Henderson County. Many, Many friends and The Labourers Quartet. Some of the cousins hadn't seen each other in more than 40 years and many met for the first time.

Roy Arvel Moody and Dula Bertis Ballard were married in Madison County TN 19 October 1932. Roy is the son of James Adam & Nancy Burk (Bartholomew) Moody. Roy born 3 December 1911, died 15 April 1993 and Dula born 18 October 1911 are both buried at Sand Ridge Cemetery in Henderson County.
