Priestly Parker built the school house with his own money. Wildersville was named for a man by the name of Wilder. Wildersville was moved to its present location in 1892. Will Purphy and wife were the first teachers at New Wildersville. The school was known as the Normal. There were about 75 pupils enrolled. The present teachers are Andros Rhodes, Mrs. Mayrene Peterson and Mrs. Eva Derryberry. There are 122 pupils enrolled.
