BIOGRAPHY
Born September 12,1936, Gunny Rush grew up in Jackson, Tennessee, where he enjoyed playing football and golf. He joined the Marine Corps with the intention of making it his career. He rose to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and had been in the Marine Corp 14 years prior to his death in Vietnam on April 21,1969.

His parents moved to Midland, Texas to live near relatives in the late 80's and were very active in the founding and dedication of the Permian Basin Vietnam Veteran's Memorial.

GSGT Charles Glynn Rush, Jr. was buried with full military honors in the Highland Memorial Garden's Cemetery in North Jackson, Tennessee.
