Madison County TN Obituaries WILMA (McCASLIN) EASON - Funeral services for Wilma Eason age 69, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday August 16, 2002 at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Rev. Brend McMinn officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Eason died Wednesday morning at her residence. She was born on Nov. 12, 1932 in Henderson County TN the daughter of the late Dallas Sampson and Velma Waller McCaslin. She was a retired bookeeper, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and she was Baptist in faith. She is survived by her husband, John Robert Eason, of Jackson; five sons, Gary A. of Boston MA, Rickly L of Chattanooga TN, Mickal A. of Piggott AR, Myron O. of St. Louis MO, Ryan A. of Baldwin MO; one brother, Billy E. McCaslin of Lexington TN and 12 granchildren. She was preceded by a grandson and a brother, Leon McCaslin. Pallbearers are Joshua Shane and Jeremy Eason, Virgil Scott, Larry D. Eason and Ronnie McCaslin. Jackson Sun 8/15/2002 TERRY JOE ELLIOTT - Marine Gunnery Sgt. Elliott was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Elliott died while conducting combat operations. Terry was a platoon sergeant from Middleton, Tennessee who joined the Marines in June 1992. He was stationed in Hawaii in 2004 and had previously deployed to Afghanistan from May 2005 to January 2006. His awards include the Purple Heart, three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, four Good Conduct Medals, two National Defense Service Medals, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, four Sea Service Deployment Medals, the Marine Corps Recruiting Ribbon, the United Nations Medal, and the North American Treaty Organization Medal.
