Wedding Held In Kentucky
Blountville Tenn.-----Mr and Mrs Perry carson Cooper announce the marriage of their daughter Wanda Blake, to Carson Blake Lake Barnes which took place Saturday, September 26th at Middlesboro, Ky. The marriage was quietly solemnized by the Rev. M A Patton pastor of the First methodist Church of Middlesboro. THe impressive ring ceremony was used. The brides only attendants were Misses Louise Stover and Cathrine Sherfey or Sherley, both of Bristol. Mrs barnes was attired in a becoming costume of ice blue with brown accessories. Her dress was fashioned along very simple lines with a long torso effect and her hat was a smart of the face model with short veil. Her only ornament was a strand of Richileu pearls and her flowers were gardenias. The bride is the only daughter of Mr and Mrs Perry C Cooper of Blountville and received her education at Blountville High School and Virginia Intermont College in Bristol where she was a very popular student. In high school Mrs Barnes took an active part in varios campus activities. For the most past several months Mrs Barnes has been employed in the Bristol office of the East Tennessee Light and Power Company.
The groom the son of Mr and Mrs J Naff Barnes of Blountville is a graduate of Blountville High School where he was popular in athletics and othe extra curicular activites. Mr barnes for the past four years has been an employe of the Tennessee Eastman Corporation in Kingsport and is now with the engineering department there. The couple will make their home at the present with the grooms parents on the Bristol-Kingsport Highway.
