In the  Davis Mountains of Jeff Davis County, you will find the home of the McDonald Observatory. The Chihuahuan Desert is a land of wide open spaces with towns sometimes 100 miles apart. There are many attractions in the Big Bend region, while there you can visit the Big Bend National Park in Brewster County. With a vast array of things to do as in Ward County, the Monahans Sandhills await you. To Midland County the home of President George Bush and his wife Laura. Many of these counties are home to historical forts that have been preserved for historical landmarks. On the border in Presidio County you will find a place that has literally stood still with time. The county seat Presido was named in 1830, but existed since the 1500's under various different names. Please do stop in and enjoy all the Big Bend Region has to offer.
