Dietz

Richard Dietz Sr., 83, of Odessa, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at his residence.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Jehovah?s Witnesses Kingdom Hall with Jerry Rogers officiating.
He was born in Kenosha, Wis. He was a Jehovah?s Witness.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Richard Dietz Jr. and Charles Dietz; and four grandchildren

Dunn

Carla Diane Cowan Dunn was born August 24, 1953 in Del Rio, Texas. She died an unexpected death on September 9, 2006 following surgery the previous week.
She was preceded in death by twin sons Juan and Carlos Jimenez, daughter Deanna Jimenez, mother Wanda Rolando, father Jesse Stidham, a brother Jesse Stidham, and a sister JoArliss Stidham.
Mrs. Dunn is survived by husband Alan Dale Dunn of Odessa, children Bernardo Ramos, Daniel Ramos, Cynde Chastain, Alan Dunn Jr., Carla Hare, Ashley Cowan of Odessa, Rebecca Allen of Arcadia, Indiana; and Amber Hicks of Arlington, Texas; her fifteen grandchildren, Brandon and Lisa Ramos, Jacob and James McGuire, Jonathan Ramos, Rebecca and Johny Basden, Deanna, David Jr., Matthew and Vanessa Hare, Blain Ramos, Kylah and James Garrett Chastain, and Madison Dunn; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her brothers and sisters include, Rebecca Roundtree of Palestine, Texas, Kenneth Stidham, Kirby Stidham, and Dayna Ramos Odessa, Monty Stidham, Marshall Stidham and Tammy Thomas of Del Rio, Texas.
Mrs. Dunn was a homemaker for 38 years. She cared for her family with love and devotion and was a wonderful wife, momma, and grandma. Her home was a haven of hospitality for anyone who entered it. The fondest memories of her family revolve around her meals, her laughter, and her unconditional love. Having great compassion for all, she often took in lost animals, providing a home and another way for her family to witness her unselfishness. She took joy in cooking, gardening, and shopping at Walmart. She will be missed greatly by her family members and many, many friends. Her legacy will live on in those who were blessed recipients of her love and life for ever. Mrs. Dunn had a long association with St. John’s Episcopal Church and School, working as a teacher’s aid and assisting in various other capacities.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home ( 6801 E Hwy 80 in Odessa). Services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 1:00pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church with the Reverend Laura Deaderick officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
