Mildred McAdoo
ODESSA Mildred Leona Goddard
McAdoo, 102, of Robert Lee died Tuesday,
Nov. 4, 2003, in a Robert Lee nursing
home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery in
Odessa. Arrangements are by Shaffer
Funeral Home of Robert Lee.
SURVIVORS: Sister, Wynona Goad of New
Kirk, Okla.; five grandchildren, 15
great-grandchildren; and 17
great-great-grandchildren.
McClellan
Leona McClellan, 87, a
long time resident of Odessa, passed
from this life Sunday, November 28,
2004, at her residence.
She was born May 28, 1917, in Snyder,
TX. Leona was one of seven children born
to Lizzie and Lee Smith.
Two children were born to Leona and her
first husband, James F. Jennings. A son,
James Dewayne Jennings of Jal, N.M. and
a daughter, Gloria Kay Anderson of
Sandia Park, N.M.
Her husband, Lloyd L. McClellan survives
her. They were married on May 18, 1978.
Her stepsons are James B. McClellan of
Friendswood, TX, and Glenn E. McClellan
of Midland.
She is also survived by four
grandchildren, Ricky Dewayne Jennings of
Irving, TX., Rita Dawn Kopp of Midland,
James Douglas Anderson of Albuquerque,
NM., and Jeffery Lynn Anderson of
Phoenix, AZ; and a brother, Marvin Smith
of San Angelo.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; four sisters, Rose Smith, Lena
Faye Lackey, Edith Rutherford and
Florence Elder; and one brother, Wilson
Smith; and one granddaughter, Jana Renee
Anderson.
Leona?s step-grandchildren are Glenn
Edward McClellan Jr., presently serving
with the U.S. military in Iraq and
Brandon Lloyd McClellan of Midland.
From all of these grandchildren, she had
seven great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.
The family would like to thank Star
Hospice for their loving care and
concern for Leona.
There will be a visitation from 6:30
p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 30,
2004, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at Sherwood
Church of Christ with Lynn Money
officiating. Burial will follow at
Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations
may be made to Odessa Christian School
or The Ladies Bible Class at Sherwood
Church Of Christ.

McLean
T.O. Thurman Oliver
McLean was born in a log cabin in Love
County, Okla., on Sept. 15, 1915, to
Arthur McLean and Viola Lay McLean. He
passed away Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003.
He graduated from High School in
Wynnewood, Okla., and earned a degree in
petroleum engineering from the
University of Oklahoma. He was married
to Oteka Paul McLean for 59 years from
May 2, 1936, until her death December
25, 1995. They lived in a series of oil
field towns, finally settling down in
Odessa in 1951.
T.O. spent most of his life working in
the oil industry and founded McLean
& Sons, which he managed up to the
time of his death. He and Oteka traveled
all the way around the world. They
attended international track meets
regularly. He was an avid fisherman,
fishing all over the world and
establishing two world records for
Peacock Bass. He described himself on
his business card as T.O. McLean,
Fisherman. He also was an accomplished
gemstone hunter and jewelry maker. His
favorite agate hunting areas were
southwest Texas, miles away from any
roads. He spent many years in the Boy
Scouts, both as a member and a Scout
leader. He was an Eagle Scout and
received a citation from President
Roosevelt for saving the life of a
drowning victim. He was a charter member
of St. Paul Presbyterian Church and a
member of St. Andrew Cumberland
Presbyterian Church.
T.O. is survived by two sons, H.D.
McLean and wife, Beth, of San Angelo,
and S.A. McLean and wife, M.J., of
Woodward, Okla.; four granddaughters,
Zoe Yetman of Greenville, N.C., Staci
Ivey of Raleigh, N.C., Victoria
Wilkerson of Oklahoma City and Sarah
McLean of Houston; five
great-grandchildren, Andrew Yetman,
Richard Ivey, MacKenzie Yetman,
Christopher Wilkerson and Channing Hay.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at
Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1415 N.
Grandview Ave. Burial will be at Sunset
Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be
directed to Meals on Wheels of Odessa.
