After an illness of three weeks an old worthy pioneer of our town succumbed to the ailments of old age and a severe cold contracted about middle of November. Mr. Christian Crenwelge died Friday morning, at 12:50 o'clock at the house of his son-in-law, Mr. Charles M. Henke where he had lived for many years.
He will be laid to rest this afternoon; pastor Dr. Puhl officiating. the old gentleman had a very large circle of friends who honored and loved him for his upright and congenial character. His departure causes great bereavement although he lived to the ripe old age of 85 years and 8 months. May he rest in peace!
