Slaton, Tex., Jan. 1 – Frank J. Evans,
division superintendent of the Slaton division of the Santa Fe
Railway, with headquarters here, died today after a brief illness,
from pneumonia. Mr. Evans was born at Valley Falls, Kan., where the
body will be sent for burial. Before coming to the southwest he was
in the employ of the Santa Fe at Emporia and Wichita, Kansas.

H.R. Beavers Lovington, N.M. (Special)- Services for H.R. "Bud"
Beavers, 71, of Lovington will be at 10 a.m., MST today in Third and
Central Church of Christ with Sam Kitching, minister, officiating.
Graveside service will be at 2p.m. Friday in Snyder (Texas) Cemetery
under direction of Smith Rogers Funeral Home. Beavers died Monday,
March, 1994, in Nor-Lea General Hospital. He was born on Nov 25,
1922 in Hope, Arkansas. He married Erdice Reynolds on July 12, 1946
in Snyder. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and
was a member of the Church of Christ, Veterans of Foreign wars Post
9477 and American Legion Post 68. Survivors include his wife; a
brother Forrest of Snyder; and four sisters, Esta Lee Haney of
Snyder, Darlene Ramage and Mary Lou Boothe, both of Carthage,
(Texas) and Betty Jo Brown of Kirkland, Washington.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Smith, Meredith Smith, Todd Smith, Michael

Charlie Beavers Snyder (Special)-- Services for Charlie Beavers, 93,
of Snyder will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Eastside Church of Christ with
minister Tom Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Snyder Cemetery
under direction of Bell-Scale Funeral Home. Mr Beavers died at 8:27
a.m. Wednesday at Cogdell Methodist Hospital after a lengthy
illness. He was born in Hope Ark. He was a resident of Snyder since
1928. He married Essie Emma Lafferty March 22,1914 in Hope Arkansas.
She died March 27 1981. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of
the Eastside Church of Christ. He is survived by two sons. Forrest
of Snyder and H.R. of Lovington N.M.; five daughters Mrs Ray Haney
of Snyder, Mrs Bill Brown of Mission, Calif, Mrs Joe Smith of
Lovington. N.M., Mrs Gerald Ramage of Carthage and Mrs. J.M. Boothe
of Cathage; a sister Bess Galloway of Hope, Arkansas; 10
grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Beavers Snyder (Special)--Services for Mrs. Charlie Beavers,
89, of Snyder will be at 3;30 pm today at Eastside Church of Christ
with Sanford Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Snyder cemetery
under direction of Belle Seale Funeral Home of Snyder. Mrs. Beavers
died at 6:15 p.m. Friday at Cogdell Memorial Hospital after a
lengthy illness. The Hope Ark, native lived in Snyder for 53 years.
She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ. She married
Charlie Beavers March 22, 1914 in Hope Arkansas. Survivors include
her husband;five daughters, Mrs. Ray Haney and Mrs. Bill Brown both
of Snyder, Mrs. Gerald Ramage, and Mrs. J. M. Boothe both of
Carthage, and Mrs. Jose Smith of Lovington N.M.; two sons, Forrest
of Snyder and H.R. of Lovington, N.M.; two sisters Mrs. Ada Capurani
and Miss Lois Lafferty, both of Hope Arkansas; 10 grandchildren and

Obituary--Rudy Earl Gryder, Died 5 Jan 1977
Funeral services for Rudy Earl Gryder, 63, of 2503 58th St., will be
at 2 p.m. today at the Southcrest Baptist Church, with the Rev.
Charles Broadhurst officiating. Burial will be in the City of
Lubbock Cemetery under direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
Gryder, a Lubbock resident for the past 40 years, died Wednesday
afternoon in Highland Hospital. Gryder, a veteran of World War II,
was a Lubbock used car dealer. he was also a member of the
Southcrest Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Doris; one
daughter, Jerilea of the home; two step daughters, Mrs Sharon Grant
of Muleshoe and Jencie Lee of Idalou; and six step grandchildren.
Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs Vera Cornelison of Temple
and Mrs. Gladys Glasglow of Bryan. Transcribed

for Alice Gryder, 82, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Friday in W.W.
Rix Chapel with the Rev. John Ballard, Associate pastor of
First Baptist Church, Officiating. Burial will be in City of Lubbock
Cemetery under direction of Rix Funeral Directors. She died Tuesday
at her home. Justice of the Peace L.J. Blalock ruled the death due
to Natural causes. She was born in Forney and moved to Breckenridge
to Lubbock in 1937. She married J.L. Gryder on Dec. 24 1927 in
Sherman. He died in 1966. She was a former Hemphill-Wells employee,
retiring in 1982. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter. Mrs Gene Aicher of Lubbock; a brother
Claude Howell of Dallas; six grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gene Aicher Jr., Brian Carter, Roger Buck, Randy

Services for James M. Gryder, 53, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m.

Burial will be in City of Lubbock Cemetery under direction of Rix
Funeral Directors. He died Monday afternoon at his home.
Justice of the Peace L.J. Blalock ruled the death was due to natural
causes. Gryder was born at Breckenridge. He was a concrete finisher.
He had lived in Lubbock most of his life. He was a member of the
First Baptist Church and the singles class at the First Baptist
Church. His father, James Lester Gryder, died September 1966.
Survivors included his mother, Alice, and a sister, Mrs. O.G. Aicher
