Wood Funeral Home Obituary David Hart Johnson 54, of Splendora, Texas, formerly of Rushville, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2007 at his home. He was born on May 14, 1953 in Beardstown, Illinois, the son of Beverly and Melba Johnson. Surviving are his wife, the former Nancy Jackson, his parents Beverly "Budgie" and Melba Johnson of Rushville, three daughters: Shawn Willing (Chris) and Sheri Johnson all of Quincy and Catrina Swenson (Joseph Carter) of Cleveland, Texas, step children: John Jackson of Quincy, Jennifer Baughman (Michael) of Peoria, 6 grandchildren: Khristopher, Kutter, Adreanna, Timothy, John Michael, and Gregory, two sisters: Debra Logan and (George) of Virginia and Dixie Moorman (Earl) of Palmyra and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. David attended Rushville High School and Morrison Technical School, where he studied drafting. He was the assistant manager of the Steak N Shake in Quincy and the Flying J in Houston, TX. He was particularly proud of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at the Rushville City Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 Thursday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville.
