Fannin County
Its county seat is Bonham.

Fannin County is named for James Walker Fannin, Jr., the commander of the group of Texans killed in the Goliad Massacre during the Texas Revolution. Ironically, the county seat (Bonham) is named for James Bonham, who sought Fannin's aid at the Battle of the Alamo.
