We regret that we are unable to perform personal research for anyone.

Duval County lies In the southwest part of Texas; San Diego, the county seat. is 63 miles from Corpus Christi. This county was created from portions of Live Oak, Nueces and Starr Counties in 1858 and organized In 1876. It was named for  Burr H. Duval, who fought in the Texas Revolution and was killed in the Goliad Massacre..

The original Duval County had three important
towns, San Diego, Benavides and Hebbronville. San Diego remains the
county seat of Duval, as it has since the organization of the county.
Benavides became the county seat of Dunn County, while Hebbronville was
accorded a similar honor for Jim Hogg County.
