Henry Edds Banker Of Hebbronville, Dies Special to The News.
SAN ANTONIO. Texas, July 1. —Funeral services were held Friday at Floresvllle for Henry Edds, 58, of Hebbronville, Jim Hogg County, prominent Southwest Texas stockman, lumberman and banker, who died at the home of a sister, Mrs, Julio. Rhode, Floresvllle. Mr. Edds had been in a San Antonio hospital for about a month until last week, when he went to visit his .sister. Mr. Edds wan born in Floresvllle, Wilson County, and began his business career there as a cattleman, later entering the banking business. At his death he owned extensive ranch lands In the lower part; of the- State, operated lumber yards at Hebbronville and Benavides as well as a banking business at Hebbronville. Prominent In fraternal and church circles, his Masonic affillations Included membership in Scottish Rite. Knight Templar and Shrine bodies, and he allied both Baptists and Methodists in building of new buildings at Hebbronville. Edds was one of the founders of Hebronville. where he moved In 1900, A number of years later he helped to organise the First National Rank at Hebbronville. being at his death vice president of that institution. Besides his wife, he leaves a son. George Edds of Hebbronville.

Martha J. Fatheree
Pebble Causes Death. Special to The News. SAN ANTONIO. Texas, Oct. 21.— Martha Jean Fatheree. 18-month-old Hebbronville child, died in a local hospital Wednesday of pneumonia attributed to infection following the swallowing of a pebble which lodged in the child's lung a week ago. An operation failed.

Mrs. J. A. McDonald Of Hebbronville Dies
LAREDO, Texas. Nov. 19 (AP)— Mrs. John A. McDonald. 60, Jim Hogg County librarian, died of a heart attack Wednesday while making a talk before the Hebbronville Rotary Club.

J. B. Peal Dies
LAREDO, Texas, Sept. 7 (AP).— Funeral services will be held Monday in Hebbronville for J. B. Peal, 79, who had extensive ranch holdings in Comal, Webb. Duval and Jim Hogg Counties. Peal died on his ranch near Hancock. He was visiting his ranch in Comal County when he was stricken fatally ill.
