History and Genealogy
Our goal at Genealogy Trails is to transcribe and post genealogical source data so that family researchers can track their ancestors through time, throughout the country.
This county site needs a dedicated host to make this site the best that it can be!
If you think that you may be interested in volunteering to host a county or state or to join our Transcriptions Team, please view our
Volunteer Information page and contact Nancy.
(A desire to transcribe data and the know-how to make a basic webpage is required.)Join our mailing lists for researchers looking to connect and share information. You never know who you might meet and what family data they may share with you -- it could start a whole new branch of the family! We also use the mailing lists to announce our website updates.
Remember to look around at the other states we have online and consider donating your source information -- every little bit helps someone.
We accept transcribed data contributions of:
Box Elder County, established in 1856,
was named for the box elder tree --- of which it has many.
Brigham City, Box Elder County, Utah is the County Seat and the most populous city.
Included in the county area are large tracts of barren desert, contrasted by high, forested mountains. The Wasatch Front lies along the south-eastern border, where the main cities are found.

Submit Your Obituaries
Obituaries are one of the most important resources used by researchers in tracing their family roots. Please consider contributing any obituary information you may have by filling out the transmittal form and submitting them here.
Please include your email address should we have any questions.
Submit Your Headstone Transcriptions
Another source of genealogical information that is very useful are cemetery headstones. They provide key data such as dates of birth, marriage information and dates of death. To submit headstone information, please click here.
