Welcome to Genealogy Trails
Volunteers working to put free historical data online
My name is Marie Miller and as your Daggett County Utah host I try to post as much data online as possible in order to make it freely available to all. We gratefully accept contributions of raw data such as census information, marriage, birth, death records, obituaries, county histories, biographies, old newspaper items - anything that would help someone build their family tree!! Feel free to email me with your contributions - every little bit helps. I regret that I am unable to do personal research. Genealogy Trails needs volunteers. If you would be interested in becoming a County or State Host visit the Volunteer Information Page and contact Kim. Daggett County was named for Elsworth Daggett the first surveyor general of Utah it was formed in 1918 from Uintah County Utah. Its county seat and largest city is Manila. There is one other town Dutch John which is unincorporated, Dutch John was built in the 1950's to facilitate the Flaming Gorge Dam. It was privatized by congressional action in 1998. Other unincorporated communities were those of Bridgeport, Greendale, and Browns Park.
