Curious Deposit For Monty

Brandon, Vermont, July 6

On Thursday evening last, a young man in this village, by the name of Henry June, about 18 years of age, being a little indisposed, a physician was called, who administered for his comfort, a portion of emetic tarter; this nauciating medicine soon caused him to emit from his stomach, the moderate number of Nine Bank Bills principally to the Middlebury Branch, which were not materially damaged. These bills had been in this safe deposit for about 3 hours. He was advised to the above medicine, by a number of citizens who were strongly convinced that he had taken money from a store in this place. He was immediately arrested, and is to have his trial this day. - Rut. Herald.

Murder - A man named Richard Bedow of Fairhaven, (Vt) has been committed to prison, charged with the murder of his wife. She died a short time since, and was buried; but some suspicion being entertained that she was murdered, the remains were taken up, and on examination, marks of violence were found upon the body, which left no rational doubt that she came to her end in consequence of being inhumanly beaten and bruised. It is said the prisoner is a foreigner and that he indulges himself in intoxication. - N. Y Com. Adv.
