Mary Lois (Hart) Pletsch

Obituary of Mary Lois (Hart) Pletsch (1908-1978)

Mary Lois Hart Pletsch was born January 22, 1908 to George and Bessie Wilson Hart.

She married Erich C. Pletsch on September 22, 1939 in Woodstock, Vermont.

A school teacher, Mrs. Pletsch attended Bradford Academy and received a teaching certificate from Wheaton College in Massachusetts. After receiving her certificate, she worked as a teacher in Claremont, New Hampshire, and tutored in Vermont. Following their marriage she and her husband lived in Fitchburg, Mass. then later moved to Conneaut, Ohio, where she lived most of her married life. After retirement they moved to Provo, Utah in 1971. They lived there seven years until the time of her death.

Mary was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mrs. Pletsch was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution. Genealogy was one of her great interests.

She and Erich had two sons, Carl E. Pletsch and Peter G. Pletsch
