Charlotte county is located along the southside region of the state and is near the border of North Carolina.
Beautiful country backroads with breathtaking views of farmland fill a vast majority of our county.
Many historical landmarks are found throughout the area.
Located approximately 90 miles south/southwest of Richmond, our state capitol, and nearly 30 miles from our neighbor, North Carolina to the north.
Our county was formed in 1764 from Lunenburg County and is named for Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III of England.
