Wm. R. Bradley
Died: On Sunday last at 5 o’clock p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. S. METCALFE, in Beaverton, [AL] WM. R. BRADLEY, who was born in Cumberland County, Virginia, on the 6th day of September, 1804, and lacked but a few days of being 86 years old. He came to this county in 1849, and settled near Henson Springs, on the Buttahatchie River. He received a collegiate educate when young, and his remembrance of the prominent men of the State of Virginia was vivid, and when relating in pleasing style was truly interesting. He was closely related to President William Henry Harrison. He was the father of our efficient clerk of the circuit court, R. E. BRADLEY, who had arranged to bring him here to his home on the day he died. The deceased leaves his wife who is but a few years younger, and a large number of descendents to mourn his death.

Richard Cade and Isaac White
Cumberland, May 6 -- Two boys, Richard Cade and Isaac White of the ages of 14 and 15 years, who lived with Mr. Samuel Madden on the opposite side of the Potomac from this place in Virginia, while ploughing in a field, eight or ten days since, ate of a poisonous root they ploughed up, which has been the cause of the death of both within a few days of each other. The unhappy fate of these youths should serve as a caution to others.
