Indenture dated August 3, 1769 between Charles Brownfield and Elizabeth, his wife, to William McKain of Frederick County, Va., consideration One Hundred pounds current money of Virginia, to the said Charles Brownfield in hand paid by the said William McKain at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents. One certain tract or parcel of land, situate lying and being in said county and the same that was granted to Joseph Breed to Charles Brownfield, containing 149 acres, beginning at a corner poplar to Thos. Cheniwith standing in Philip Dorsets line thense with the said line So 60 E eighty poles to a pine corner to said Dorset, thence No 31 East two hundred and fourteen poles to a white oak in Abraham Pickets line thence along the same No. 80 West one hundred and sixty six poles to a young white walnut corner to the said Pickets by the said Creek, thence up the several courses to the beginning
