Robert J. Davenport

Died on the 2nd of April, after a short but violent illness of scarlet fever, Robert James, the son of Mr. Tarlton Davenport, Goochland county, aged abut four years.

Andrew Keen
Dec. 2, 1837 —In Goochland co., aged 63, Dr. Andrew Keen, one of the most eminent physicians of Virginia.

Mrs. Fannie A. Mason 

Mrs. Fannie A. Mason, the widow of James H. Mason, died yesterday at noon at the home of her daughter near the State farm, in Goochland County. Mrs. Mason is survived by three sons, H. G., W. O., and O. V. Mason, all of Richmond, and by two daughters, Mrs. George A. Parsly, of Goochland County, and Mrs. W. G. Hargrove, of Richland. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday from the home of her daughter. Burial will take place in Goochland County.

Henry W. McDearmon, died March 8. He was born in Goochland Co., Va. about 1808. Came first to old franklin and then to Booneville.

Frank X. Monteiro 

Maidens, Va., March 1. – Frank X. Monteiro died at his residence at Sandy Hook Sunday morning at 5 o’clock after an illness of ten days with pneumonia. The funeral took place Tuesday at 1 o’clock in the family cemetery.

James Pleasants
Nov. 9, 1836 – At his residence, in Goochland co., Va., aged 67, James Pleasants, M.C. from 1811 to 1819; U.S. Senator from 1819 to 1822; governor of Virginia from 1822 to 1825, and a member of the convention for 1829-30, for amending the state constitution. He was twice appointed to the bench, but declined, from a distrust of his own qualifications. He was a man of rare modesty, greatly respected and esteemed for public and private virtues.

In Goochland, died lately, Mr. Edward Scott, a burgess from there.
