Obit: Andrella Thomas Danville Register Thursday, January 5, 1984 Andrella mcKee Thomas, 80, formerly of Danville, died Dec. 29 in Centerville, Mass. She had been in declining health for several years. Born Nov. 20, 1903 in Laurens, SC she was a daughter of the late Andrew McKee and Mary Jane Puckett McKee. Most of her life was spent in Danville and in Centerville, where she lived for the last eight years. She was a member of Third Avenue Christian Church. Survivors include one daughter, Camelia V. Rogers, Centerville; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 am Friday at the Third Avenue Christian Church by the Revs. Darryl Bodie and Eugene Tally. Interment will be in Highland Burial Park. Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Joe C. Thomas died Thursday, April 9, in Memorial Hospital, Danville, Va. He had been in declining health for six months and a patient in the hosptial since March 9.
Mr. Thomas, a native of Abbeville County, SC, was born June 13, 1901, a son of the late Joe C. Thomas and Dora Palmer Thomas. On July 2, 1921, he married Miss Andrella McKee. In 1936 they moved to Danville and for 19 years he was employed by the City Police Department, retiring in 1961. Since that time he had been employed at the City Farm as a guard. The Thomases formerly lived in Wattsville.
A member of Third Avenue Christian Church, he was a Veteran of World War I and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Laurens, SC.
Surviving are his wife and one daughter; Mrs. Camelia V. Rogers of Sloughton, Mass., one brother, Marvin E. Thomas of Durham, NC; two sisters, Mrs. Irma T. Hollingsworth and Mrs. Mosebelle Stradier of Danville; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted April 11 at 4 pm at the Third Avenue Christian Church and interment was in Highland Burial Park.

Died at her father's, Mr. Sam'l Harris, in Pittsylvania Co.. Mrs. Ann R. Tucker, consort of the Rev. Joel W. Tucker of the N.C. Conference, aged 23 years. She had been wed only since 24 Dec. 1846. (N.S. v. l.no. 35, 2 September 1847, p. 140.)
