Longview
Longview, a town in Benton County
on the north bank of the Columbia River. It was first named Gravel on account of
the prevailing material there. It was changed to Francis and again to Tuton.
This was thought to conflict with the name of another station, Luzon, and was
again changed to Longview, on account of the long view of the Columbia River.
