Cashmere, Chelan County, Washington
"Cashmere, a city in Chelan
county. it was formerly known as 'Mission' because of the establishment there of
an Indian Mission. In June, 1903, on the suggestion of Judge J.H. Chase, the
name was changed to honor the beautiful and productive Vale of Cashmere in
Indian."
